Diganta Oza is a right hand batsman in the field of Assamese media and literature. By nature he is defensive, but whenever necessary plays risky shots too. He prefers to judge himself as a good fielder. He can move the ball depending on the situation as well.
In his schooldays Diganta Oza wanted to be a scientist, but crash-landed in the field of journalism at the whim of destiny. He had completed his graduation from arts stream, but he feels proud to be identifying as a student of science. His interest stuns from philosophy to science to literature etc. That is why he wants to do a lot, but till now the only substantial thing he has done successfully is chasing the mirage. Diganta has a few books in Assamese to his credit — 1. Asomiya Somaj Jibanar Bibartan (Social history of Assam) 2. Sandhikhyanat Manuh (a philosophical introspection of civilization) 3. Jibanar Gadya (a collection of socio-philosophical essays on men and society) 4. Jehadi (a biographical novel) 5. Sanchipator Pora Laptopoloi, etc.
Though a pauper in the materialistic scale, the precious asset Diganta Oza possesses, as he consider, is his honesty. He is the sixth child of Ms. Renu Oza and Mr. Ramen Oza.
